Defiant System

The Computer Evolved

February 13th, 2021

Defiant moves everything online! Access your applications, documents, photos, music and all other files no matter where you are, from any computer or mobile phone.

When personal computers were introduced 40+ years ago our lives looked completely different. We spent most of our days behind a desk and mobile phones didn’t exist. Today our lives are far more mobile and we have taken small steps to move our applications and data into the cloud. Defiant allows you to take a giant leap into the future and become completely cloud-based.

Defiant can be installed and booted up into any computer - even on Raspberry Pi.

Sign Up For Beta

Defiant is currently in closed-beta. You can sign up for beta-testing by submitting the form below. You will receive an email as soon as the system is promoted to open-beta level.

Defiant runs on self-scaling server clusters to maintain predefined high performance. Docker is used to deploy containers with code to run certain specialized tasks - also known as microservices.

Cloud Architecture

Defiant is built with modern cloud native architecture - using microservices, the system is self-scaling to maintain predefined high-level performance on the server cluster it is running upon. Of course, you can work offline at any time - the system will auto-sync whenever your computer is connected to the internet.

Defiant is deployed atop CapEx light public cloud infrastructure. Without regard to the underlying infrastructure, a Defiant experience is always identical. You will experience a single-action interface which delivers a secure, sophisticated and high fidelity interface.

Defiant platform is built and deployed using technologies and diciplines such as Kubernetes, Docker, NodeJS, microservices and Javascript as primary language on frontend as well as backend.

An Open Platform

Applications deployed in Defiant are open source at Github. In order to facilitate development, Defiant offers a well-tested command line tool - making processes such as scaffolding new applications, testing and development and deployment - simpler than ever seen before on any existing platform.

This platform was built using Mac Pro and two 27" Cinema Display monitors.
